Went to meet my bro and Rain for my belated birthday celebration. We went to NorthPoint KTV to sing our hearts out. Has been a while since I went for KTV liao. Wow...Party World has increased the price to $20, I remember it was about $15-16 the last time I went there.

We haven't decided where to go for our dinner but since my bro already treated KTV, dinner shall be cheap. I thought of the zi cha stall called "Taste of Thailand" along the Yishun road to Sembawang. It used to be at the basement foodcourt of Sembawang Shopping Centre before the mall was renovated. I remember that time I was having industrial attachment at Motorola and they went to this zi cha for lunch. Ever since, I do not know where they moved to until Wen Kuang took us there for dinner. The moment I saw their signature fried fish with thai chilli sauce, I quickly remember it.

We ordered a few signature dishes like pineapple rice, fried fish, fried calamari and baby kailan with oyster sauce. Waiting time for dishes to be serve was prompt and soon all the dishes were on the table to satisfy 4 hungry persons. Food is still as tasty as before and even Rain and my bro sang praises. The total damage for 4 persons only cost about $38, CHEAP!!! 1 person only less than $10 and you can eat such a tasty dishes. I even joke with my bro since the stall is between Sembawang and Yishun, we can often meet her for dinner. With its relative cheap price, no wonder there are so many crowd waiting. If you are looking for ambience with your sweet lady for a romantic dinner, you can skip this place. The stall is located in the industrial canteen with no air-con. However if you are looking for cheap and good food with bunch of buddies, this place is definitely good place!
