Serious Discussion

Our wedding is just 1 week away and there are still so many things need to discuss and decide so we went to a quiet cafe to do it. This cafe also sells beautiful restored vintage furniture. One particular drawer that was for sale for about $400+ was actually the same design my dad used to have. It has a solid wood and is very durable. But unfortunately, we treated it as some kind of junk and we threw it away! If I knew its value, I would definitely sell to ReStore..hehehe

This is the table I'm referring to!

Headache

After a tiring day out with not much rest. I got a tension headache which I needed 4 tablets to ease it :( I was happy too that the Tan's family got their clothes especially Jason. I couldn't wait to see his outfit on my wedding day!

Food For Thought

A beautiful sat morning and I eagerly wanted to have a good breakfast somewhere. Initially wanted to go to an ulu place but decided to go town cos we need to buy some papers for the Church invitation cards. We arrived at Food For Thought and the waitress told us we need to wait for 45 mins! We gave it a miss cos we don't think we wanna wait so long. After that, we had a second thought since we could go buy papers first, we walked back and surprisingly, there's a table available! What a blessing in disguise. We quickly sat down and couldn't wait to satisfy our stomach.

Most of the cafes I visited, usually don't serve so much egg and I was surprised when the food came, it came with generous amount of scrambled egg. I'm an egg lover and I love my breakfast with lots of eggs! We ordered the House works which comes with the usual suspects. Make sure you comes with a hungry stomach cos the servings it's really huge. And if you are really really hungry, go for their full works breakfast. No wonder just right behind the cashier, the wall says "That every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all His labour, it is the gift of God." And I totally agree with it! Definitely I'm coming back for more eggs!

Flor Patisserie

Went to collect the cake that was ordered by Rain. Poor boy, still got to collect it by himself...lol. This cake shop was by a Japanese Chef Yamashita. He has about 20 years of experience and you can imagine how exciting I am to taste it! Japanese pastry is famous for its detailed designs and fresh ingredients. No wonder there were some Japanese tai-tai having their afternoon tea there, the taste must be authentic!

Finally, Happy Birthday my Gay Brother! hahahaha

Broun Cafe

Happy April Fool's Day! Today also marked my brother's birthday and I treated him to Broun Cafe as I know he will love the ambience there. Unfortunately, by the time we reached around 2pm, most of the food were unavailable due to the lunch crowd. It's a perfect place for both of us to relax and laze around.

Broun Cafe pride itself as a healthy dining with no MSG and deep fried food. I guess the ladies will love it without worrying the calories. We ordered the Country Chicken Stew with the brown bread and the taste is great! It may seem like a bit small size but they are not stingy with the ingredients.

However their latte was nothing to shout about. Overall it's really a great hangout place with friends. Now I'm waiting for my crab dinner to be ready!

Happy

Went to discuss with one of the IDs located in Balestier. The designer was quite professional and have thought alot of things that we might have miss out. However, as usual, the price is a bit out of our budget due to reputation. Although price can still be negotiable, we are still keeping the option open for other IDs. Next stop will be lunch at Whampoa Market which is just a stone throw away from the ID. Both of us were first timers here and didn't know what to order. Fortunately the fish soup was delicious and my colleague recommended me to try a duck rice store which is quite good. Gonna come here more often!

Collected my Church wedding favours from SG Wedding Favours in the afternoon and I'm glad the favours look nice! Completed pasting the stickers on it and it's really no joke doing it for 2 hours. Luckily I didn't invite too many people for the Church.

A busy Sat indeed, the final itinerary for today will be food tasting at M Hotel for both families. And we were glad that both parents are able to integrate well. You might not believe this, this was actually the first time both parents meet each other after knowing her for 6 years! Anyway, the food tasting met our expectations and I hope everyone will enjoy it as much as we do.

Singapore Food Trail

Met up with Des and rain for dinner at Singapore food trail. The place brings you back to 1960s with a nice nostalgic feeling. Surprisingly, finding a place wasn't that difficult and we found it within 5 mins. After settling down, it's time for makan! We ordered oyster omelette, bak kut teh, popiah, nogiah and for dessert, ice ball. All the dishes we ordered were great and has great taste with it. I feel the concept is good where one place, you can taste most of the good food in Singapore.

The next thing I'm gonna do is to burn my calories tomorrow morning...hehe..but it's worth it!

Mimolette Restaurant

If you have read my Dozo entry, actually I wanna bring her to Mimolette for the anniversary. In fact, I wanna do it on her birthday last year but so unfortunately, they were undergoing renovation. The management has turned Mimo into a comical design and it looks like you have step into a fairytale of a story book.

So today I brought her to this place to enjoy our brunch and also to discuss our wedding. I found the food to be normal and service wasn't so fantastic. No wonder there are so many people at the nearby Riders Cafe. The good things are the design and the lack of noise enable the discussion to be uninterrupted.

Celebrating 6 Years of Together at Dozo Restaurant

It was about 2 years plus when I brought her to Dozo on her birthday. Fast forward to 2011, we were at Dozo again celebrating our 6 years anniversary. Actually I had already thought of a nice place to bring her for dinner, however she still can't forget the taste and wanna go back again. The services and food did not disappoint us and their menu have not change much. For those lovers out there, it's worthwhile to bring your loved one here at least once. In fact, I love all their 7 dishes!

And lastly, a nice surprise by Dozo
